No longer reliable:(

I have been using this alarm clock successfully for years now; but a few weeks ago; it suddenly started going off "silently"; and its been very random.

Its my alarm; I need it to wake me up; not just look pretty.......PLEASE HELP!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED????
